December Events

Monday, December 1st

LADIES NIGHT and the FEELIN's Right
Come on out and have a glass of wine and enjoy hearing from Jeannie Thoren! We'll have raffle items, great food, sweet goodie bags and it's becoming a traditional "Kickoff" for getting your gear ready and getting psyched for a great season.

We're looking forward to a great season, and we hope that you'll be able to make some of these events! They'll be worth your time and it's a great excuse to THINK SNOW!

First Annual Snowboard Night Rocked!

We had a great first annual Snowboard Night! Burton, Rossi and Nidecker reps all came to town and helped custom fit boots, bindings and boards. It was a rare opportunity for customers to actually talk to the real guys who know their products intimately and to get a custom fit. We had over 70 people in the shop and hopefully they learned something new and just enjoyed hangin out!

We gave away a ton of free socks, t-shirts and other great prizes and Red Bull stocked the house. Thanks to Hoodoo and WIllamette Pass for giving the current updates!

We're already planning for next year so email us if you want to be on the mailing list for sales and special events!

We realize there's a lot of buying options out there and we want to be "THE SHOP" that people think of when they want expert advice and a great deal. We know you're spending a lot of money and we want you to get the right stuff that fits YOU!

Mt. Bachelor Passes will be at Berg's Ski Shop answering questions, and taking photos for ski passes. Sign up for your 5 day and season passes.

Skiing at Timberline Mt. Hood in July...

Oh what a day it was and I could not believe how many people were there. It's been a few years since I have been to hood in the summer because of my overseas travel with the mrs. That place is crazy in the summer and Windells is only getting bigger and bigger. But who wouldn't want to spend a week skiing you buns off and being taught by the best...in July. Pretty amazing!!!

I had fun as I got out on the FrankenTele again and even dropped my
Scarpa TX boots into snowboard bindings for a couple runs(took the high backs off so I could slide right in) just to see if it would work. I didn't have a stomp pad on so I had some issues getting of the lift but I guess I would anyways :-) I think I was born to have to sticks under me and not just one but I am trying. So much fun and could not ask for a better day. Ok it was 85 degrees on the snow but I wax the crud out of my skis and board so it really didn't matter.

I am looking forward to hitting Diamond Peak this weekend and will try to post soon about that adventure. I love living in Oregon!!!

Ladies Night at Berg's...

We had ladies night at Berg's with Jeannie Thoren and what a hoot it was!!! We had about 100 ladies(and a few men as well) and we all had a really great time. She kept us all on the edge of our seats with smiles on everyones faces. Looking forward to her coming back next season and getting her on the hill. Thanks to all who came and enjoy the article that was written about her and us above. Cheers!!!

Berg's Ski and Snowboard Shop Golf Day!!!

Hey there all. Well as strange as it sounds we had a great time at Oakway Golf Course(http://www.oakwaygolf.com/). What a super day with incredible weather and great friends. Much of our staff at Berg's got out of the shop and had a fun time joking, having fun...oh and golfing ;-) Big thanks goes out to Oakway for putting up with us and looking forward to a great spring and summer. Snow is still around so lots of snow riding still to be had. Can't wait for another day on the hill!!!

Have a great summer and we will keep you all updated as we do trips and get out skiing and snowboarding!!!

Berg's out with Lipstick Films:

Had a great trip out filming with the Lipstick Films skiers. Spent a week in the Sisters Wilderness skiing all the smaller peaks in the area as it kept snowing so we never could actually get on the bigger peaks like South Sister or Broken Top as we planned. Still got some amazing footage and had a really great time.

We stayed at Elk Lake Resort which was super fun!!!

You should look them up if you ever need a chance to truly get away and relax. It was fun getting out there on snowmobiles but with bigger groups they purchased two cats a new Haagland, Swedish transporter, and a Bombardier groomer. Perfect if you want to snowmobile or for a group of skate skiers it's perfectly groomed.

Lipstick films/freeheel life crew were super fun to hang out with. Got some great turns in and built some great relationships. I look forward to the next time we get out and play together. I am sure that won't be to far away as I think we need to take another swing at South or Broken. Here are some pics or our trip and a link to Josh's website.
